You'll need to block the oil and water lines on the LH head, and fit all the single turbo lines to the back of the RH head though.

It shouldn't cost you much. More just the headache of cleanly removing and refitting the lines that are pressed into the heads!

Just keep in mind 96 will either be Version 2 or 3. I.e. Phase 1. BH is Phase 2. They have quite a few differences. You'll have to keep the TT manifold, which means you'll want to either get a V5 or 6 single turbo parts for things like the turbo intake, BOV return ETC. Or you could just rangi it up aftermarket with FMIC's and atmo BOV'S ETC (i'm not a fan of this approach). You have to keep the manifold, as the bolt pattern between phase 1 and 2 was changed. So no simple manifold swap and go.

As for sensors, timing shit on the cam wheels etc, i have no idea of the differences.

You'll have to swap the WRX's engine loom onto the BH motor too, this involves taking the intake maifold off (as does taking out the TT turbo intake pipe and swapping the single turbo one on).

It's a bit of a hodge podge conversion with lots of funny incompatible bits. But i suppose given time, you can work through it just fine. I can see no reason why it shouldn't work. You'll just have to walk yourself through it, and take it as it comes.

<Shale>: Blighter doesn't really have an accelerator pedal, it's more just a loudness pedal. You can change volume, but you won't go any faster.

<Reuben>: I feel like when you stomp the throttle in Blighter, it's like you've startled an old man!

Thanks for that Reuben, time won't be too much of a factor for me, I'll consider it a good learning curve, still talking to the flatmate as he will be the one funding it with me doing all the work and then we split the profit, but starting to look rather tricky, always up for a challange though :D

Can you post the link to the impreza on trademe btw? Knowing if it's a V2 or 3 is kinda important.

Looks like a V3 to me. Definitely not a 2 anyway.

It actually isn't, it's fucking easy. If you're dropping the BH engine into the wrx, all you need to do is find a V5/6 WXR intake manifold and intake setup, and bolt it to the BH block, Then block off the primary oil return and coolant feed and you're done.

Just note the BH's have high CR's, you can't use STI ecu's on them, gotta be at most forester/wrx
