Short for big end bearing, where the conrod attaches to the crank

Don't google "BE bearing", search "Big end bearing" in case that's what it was. Also ameicans say they 'spun a bearing' instead of 'blown a bearing' like we do.

<Shale>: Blighter doesn't really have an accelerator pedal, it's more just a loudness pedal. You can change volume, but you won't go any faster.

<mjlqtown>: (Southern US accent) I'v excised the demon! This car is now clear!

<Reuben>: I feel like when you stomp the throttle in Blighter, it's like you've startled an old man!

Right. That looks fairly major. The guy I got it from said he had rebuilt the engine so I've just kind of taken his word for it. Haven't put the new injectors in yet so haven't tried starting it to check but from what I've read its a pretty noticeable noise to diagnose it (fingers crossed). I also ran the engine check codes and got the following:

45 Atmospheric pressure sensor/ Absolute pressure change solenoid Open or Short
61 Inhalation valve solenoid Open or Short
62 Exhaust valve solenoid (vacuum) Open or Short
63 Supercharging pressure relief valve solenoid Open or Short
64 Secondary waste gate solenoid Open or Short
65 Differential pressure sensor Open or Short
67 Exhaust valve solenoid (positive pressure) Open or Short

But I know there are sensors and other things that are just not plugged in so hopefully that will sort most of it. Also found the BBoD in the box of spares, so will be looking to figure out how that goes back in.

He hasn't changed the ECU to single turbo. This must be done. Some will say you can trick the ECU, but why go through that effort, when the tune will still be wonky, when you can littlerally plug in a single turbo ECU and be on your merry way.

Hunt around for a V3 or a V4 STi ECU. some numbers that will work are "1S", "6S" and "75"

Also have a read through the section where I talk about sensors and solenoids, and the wiring required to use the single turbo ECU.

Damn. They look pretty hard to get hold of as well. Will the car start without it? Like just to check that its actually running.
