So one day out from the Ruapuna track day on Wednesday, the rear end of my car starts playing up and feels like is bouncing all over the show. One side is miles in the air and the other is normal. Swapped the problem shock out for a spare I had in the garage at lunch time. The thing seems to be jammed at full length with no hope of being able to compress it. I notice these shocks have a 14mm nut on the bottom. Does this mean they are able to be rebuilt??

I think they can be rebuilt to a degree, pop take apart the problematic strut and see if you can depress it. I think Autolign will be able to revalve or replace the insert.

Have taken it apart. Nice milky oil in there. But the insert is solid! Atleast I have a spare for Wednesday. Hope youve made my bed Tim
