So im wanting to install my new cluster i have but my KM are way higher than the car. How do I change this? I know how to change the BG ones but not first gen?

Yes i know its a dumb thing to ask but i kinda want to put it in this weekend but want to keep it to the Km that the car has

Take the speedo head out of the cluster. On the back, remove the Phillips screw retaining the z shape steel bracket and the 2 plastic gears. Now you can use a pick to pry the rollers apart slightly and flick it around one digit. Once you've done them all, line the numbers up, refit the gears, bracket and screw, refit the speedo to the cluster and go test if it works.
