Less pedal throw for a given braking force, and firmer pedal feel. You may also want to use a BE/BH Rev D vacuum booster as they give the best pedal feel.
Vacuum booster = brake booster?
Affirmative.

diameter is cast on the cylinder itself.
i tried to upgrade my V2STIRA non-abs booster / master to V7STIwagon ABS and the ports didn't match up.
ended up using booster/master & proportioning valve from a V4 typeR non-abs car
i don't remember the master cylinder bore sizes, but the V4 was larger. matched to GC8 4pots, pedal feel on track is great until i cook the fluid/pads
maybe you could use the master/booster combo from the BE/BH setup mentioned

also consider finding a larger diameter master cylinder. just make sure the port setup is compatible.

Just which way the pipes point.
maybe, but that wasn't so much my problem. there may be a different number of ports between ABS and non-abs. 2 vs 3? i'm not too sure, it was a few years ago. my point is to take note of what you already have, and check the upgrade can be made to work

i had issues with the ports going from 4 ports on the ra cylinder to 2 ports on the v7 cylinder, ended up running a couple of 't' peices of each line, one for fronts, one for rears and a adjustable proportioning valve for the rears.

<Shale>: Blighter doesn't really have an accelerator pedal, it's more just a loudness pedal. You can change volume, but you won't go any faster.
<mjlqtown>: (Southern US accent) I'v excised the demon! This car is now clear!
<Reuben>: I feel like when you stomp the throttle in Blighter, it's like you've startled an old man!

The difference is nite and day. All I did was swap the V6 sti RA Non ABS 1 & 1/16 MC in. The lines all hooked up no probs.
On the track the feel was incredible..............less effort but more bite and came on harder with less travel. Didn't fade all day
Highly recommended
See my garage thread for pics and shit

Indeed, I need to upgrade the BC3's to something compitent, but am limited to non abs master cyls... Only ones I have easy access to down here are BC/BF GT ones. I can get myself a BH booster though, worth getting one? (it's rev-
i didn't end up swapping the booster just the MC so duno if it will make any diff.........try it
