As the title says, totally not cool. One of the big ones is one of the bolts mounting the seat was 1/2 way out. Turns out it was cross threaded and it's pretty much fucked the thread in the hole. Not only that, it's one I've never seen on a Subaru before. I'm used to seats with 4 bolts to mount, but not 5!

I have an idea but I want to know if it's okay for the recheck before I go ahead. I want to grind off the nut thing welded underneath the car with the fucked thread and just run a standard nut and bolt through the hole instead. If that isn't going to cut it I'll just get the thread retapped, but I figured to check before grinding shit off.

Pull your handbrake just enough so the light comes on. That sends the ECU into full race mode.

all bar the middle rear mount of the nuts are inside the chassis

if you can get the bolt out , you should be able to re tap the thread and replace the bolt
