I had the same issue on wifey's boobmobile.

First up we got rubber grommets and put them in the number plate bolt holes. That is, the plate itself. Filed edge of hole out so that the I.D remained the same.

If your v7 still has spoiler, some neoprene strips (like wetsuit material but half the thickness) from the engineering suppliers between spoiler and boot. They already have a thin rubber gasket in their but is not soft enough to reduce vibration.

And then 2 square sheets of dynamat sound deadening. Cut them both in half and place on areas where the outer boot lid is visible, 2 up top about half way between spoiler mounts, 1 inside rear most face of boot behind number plate, and the last piece on the back side of actual number plate.

I was going to say get rid of them entirely....

<Shale>: Blighter doesn't really have an accelerator pedal, it's more just a loudness pedal. You can change volume, but you won't go any faster.

<Reuben>: I feel like when you stomp the throttle in Blighter, it's like you've startled an old man!

Smaller subs?

I'm using a single 8" sub in a slot ported box at 450W-ish (rms) and it does as good a job as 2x12" subs I previously had.

Impreza/WRX, in general will suffer from panel rattle due to the thinner panels used in the construction. A older BC/BF legacy will have hardly any - a lot more solid.

Dynamat Extreme is good stuff - I stuck some on the inner boot lining, and behind door speakers to minimise rattling.

Two members in Blenheim!

Do we need to arrange a meet? I'm down later this month: 16th-27th.
