Yup I do like the Leone wagons, I am looking for the GT model ( EA82t + AT AWD ) really should try and collect one of each of the RX/GT models of the series 2, I already have the hardest one to get :)

Noice! Glad you see you still remember DOBC, you gotta post more!

Saw you at repco the other day btw, I sold you the aerial extension, only realised it was you AFTER you walked out the door!

<Shale>: Blighter doesn't really have an accelerator pedal, it's more just a loudness pedal. You can change volume, but you won't go any faster.

<mjlqtown>: (Southern US accent) I'v excised the demon! This car is now clear!

<Reuben>: I feel like when you stomp the throttle in Blighter, it's like you've startled an old man!

Yea those are the hardest ones to get, very rare now,
We had one about 15 years ago, Digital dash, electric windows and trip computer. 1.8L turbo but an Auto trans.
Loved that car it was like the night rider!

I have dug some more pictures up of my fun with the Leone. But a bit of sad new's, The Leone failed it's WOF due to bad rust in the engine bay fire wall. Not too sure what he's going to do with at as he bought it for his son to learn how to drive in.

But here are some great memory's.

Here are some more photos. These are from a small offroad trip to Old Man Rock. A track just outside of Alexandra.

Note we did not make it up the snow bank on the road. In fact I beached the car and was stuck up there for 3 hours digging the car out. But still fun.

Had one of these an 86 with identical specs, as previous car, until rust around windscreen put it off the road in 09, with 360K km, drivetrain would have probably done another 100K km. one of the best cars have ever owwned for longevity/maintenance/running costs.
Actually preferred non power steering (had an 88 with p/s, was never the car 86 was - got rid of as had cooling system issues - lack of maintenance from previous owners.)
These had some off road capability as only 1050/1100kg and good ground clearance. drove mine into Skipper/Branches , though Nevis Valley up Old Man Range to Olbelisk etc.

Me too wish still had my 86 but the thing was that they could go there, where l wouldn't consider taking the the lump of lard 1500kg Outback there as it doesn't have the same nimbleness/ground clearance.

Put Outback suspension in the GT!

Buy an Outback would be more simpler than trying to modify an arse dragging Legacy GT :P
