As we all know ,information specific to these models is very hard to come by.
I'm curious to know what people have delved up from the deepest reaches of the WWW or perhaps a factory brochure floating around.
Would be good to stockpile any information to keep it in circulation.
I would also like to obtain figures that show how many of each of these versions were produced.
All i have ever come up with is :

http://www.cars-dire.../subaru/legacy/

Can anyone add anything?

The GT-type-S2 is something I'm quite familiar with, I actually have one parked outside. (for sale too)

Specifics of the GT-type-S2
- Manufactured in 1993 at the very end of the Rev D run.
- Approx 200 manufactured
- Suede interior, bucket seats, etc.
- Sunroof
- Firmer Suspension
- 4AT only.
- No special ECU.
- Came with 15" BBS wheels.
[20:30:58] <Pelvin> what are the handbrake shoes? are they only fitted on the rear?

Some ok info on here albiet hard to understand.

http://translate.goo...acy.html&anno=2

Just push the translate button. Has the production numbers for the GT STI (200) and the GT type S2 (200 per month) at the bottom of the page. Also lists all the different types for each year. Has anyone ever seen a Legacy GT STI? I remember a wagon in Dunedin about 10 years ago with a type RA sticker on the back, at the time I didn't think anything of it as didn't know there was a gt sti. But maybe they came with that.

Looks like the STi spec wagon (which I have never seen before, I want one!) is an S2 with an STi front lip in terms of trim spec. I note the GT-type-S2 sedan is completely unmentioned there.

It is mentioned in the middle of the paragraph for that year, but it is pretty broken due to the poor translator.

One day I'll get round to learning japanese. Too much vital information out there not to...

Man... If I ever see an STi BF... I don't think I could contain myself!

<Shale>: Blighter doesn't really have an accelerator pedal, it's more just a loudness pedal. You can change volume, but you won't go any faster.

<mjlqtown>: (Southern US accent) I'v excised the demon! This car is now clear!

<Reuben>: I feel like when you stomp the throttle in Blighter, it's like you've startled an old man!

Because I don't have enough Japanese homework as it is

I chose to translate this one because there's not too much to do in comparison to some. It's not perfect either because I'm still learning and please excuse any engrish as my translations are quite literal. The pink text next to the car is missing because apart from having a lot of complex words, it was very hard to actually see what was written. It's just marketing blurb however.

I'd love to translate all the brochures on the site, but my current level means each one takes quite a while. Having said that, I might have a go in my holidays and do a few more because I find it fun, haha.

I still don't get why the Japanese use the old German ps, rather than the more common (and metric!!) kw, or even hp!!

Haha, RS-RA eh? Noted :D.

If there's a photoshop wizard - *cough* Reuben *cough* - that wants to help out with the image editing that'd help. I can hack my way through, but I'm probably using slow/noob methods to get it done.
