Quick thought, thanks to DacerX bringing this up in chat.

Anyone think DOBC is big enough to start considering area reps? These will be for organising meets as well as investigating local sponsors.

And yeah, here's good for nominating people.

Also a yeah, it's fine if areas just want to merge with existing CS stuff :)

Not yet IMO. We've got people doing semi-reps jobs at the mo anyway. A few in each of the main centres.

This is true - between you and I Auckland is sorted, though the other centres do have a fair amount of activity and don't have the same sort of headquarters.

Bazza & DCVR in Wellington seem to be pretty active, as does Familyman in Chch.

I wouldn't trust that Familyman guy... :shifty: ... He's from Blenheim, you know.

Yarp, we're getting up there.

Cool things will happen once there are reps - got a source for flags, so there'll be a decent reps box going to each area with representation. I guess it's a question of need... it'll happen when we need it. Hard to tell from here as Auckland's the HQ, it's pretty quiet, we're sorted...seems Welly and Chch have more activity in person :)

Possibly less activity in Auckks ddue to vast distances of travel?

But I would gladly step up to the challenge down here.

Vast spread of members, general lack of members. Auckland is notorious for ups and downs. Seems there's more stability on DOBC than CS with the groups at least. Boostin is practically our rep as it is :P

Here is my 2c worth

I think area reps will be a great idea, it will give a point of contact with current and new members. Its adding a face to the website and would encourage more people to have a look around especailly because of the trends i have noticed with having an older car. I know with most of the old school Subaru these days, they are either looked after or trashed to buggery so the target audience is different to that of clubsub. Those that have been trashed are not generally interested in their car so wouldn't visit the site. Those that have looked after their car will flock to this site for the information and community it provides

In regards to Wellington we are VERY lucky in the sense that we have a great bunch of people, converted to DOBC or not and the facilities such as the workshop in Grenada Village to work and support the other members on here. (that's why we have most of the cars in good nick around here - my apologies about Project Black, it art in progress)

As in what my brother often leaves in the toilet or the rep for the pacific ocean off of napier? :lolz:
Will be great once DOBC is bigger. Not like there is a shortage for BC's and BF's in our country.
Hmm thinking we should start up a few DIY articles to attract google searching peoples to the site (e.g write ups on how to change the oil/service your BC/BF Legacy and that sorta thing). Basic stuff that people generally need to know

I see them whenever I get out of the house lol! Spose Auckland finally has something going for it. But then again I'm counting Gen1's in general, not just the turbo varients
