Hello all,

Starting from now, DOBC is opening the floodgates for 'Paid' memberships. At this stage in the site's youth there isn't a huge amount to offer like many well-established car clubs, so as in the title the first year's membership is a little different to what will follow.

To start with, DOBC can offer:
• 10% discount at Winger Subaru, Auckland
• $5 off your first shirt, hoodie or singlet order for the year

The grand wallet-destroying price of the introductory contributor membership: $10.

You can get this style of membership until Dec 31, 2011 – or until we have a complete membership pack available as below.

Future developments for paid memberships, due post-2012:
• Rear quarter or tail sticker (sedan/wagon respectively) in pack
• Proper plastic membership card
• Branded coffee mug that fits DOBC/F cupholders
• Alternatively, a small token toolbox - 1/4" drive, travel size
• Further sponsor discounts
• Eventually: Custom Apparel Builder

On note of the latter, this is an exciting but big and expensive project that Shale will be tinkering with over the next year; essentially, for access to VIPs only, this tool will be a program in a 'dress-up doll' format. Pick your chassis, shirt colour...then add your choice of wheels, brakes, kit, etc. You can then choose what product(s) you wish to print it on - shirts, jackets, hoodies, singlets, bags, etc. Future development!

How to get your introductory membership:
• PM Shale on the forums to get bank account details
• When making payment, remember to put your username in the reference somewhere!

Once payment is processed, you will be given blue rank pips instead of brown and special access to the contributor's forum and sponsor's details. This will last 365 days.

Cheers all,
- DOBC

PS: To avoid any gun-jumping about the MSNZ memberships, these are coming once we have the membership numbers (ie: torque) to be able to go down this route. It involves growing a siamese twin for the club and setting up a committee separate to this forum, so there is some groundwork to do.

When these memberships do happen, they will be able to be purchased separately or as an 'upgrade' to your current paid membership if you have one. There will be access to a new forum here, as well as a separate board for DOBC Motorsport.

TL;DR: coming later!

Oh, this doesn't touch the no-engined Gen1 :P This builds a base for purchasing stickers and spare shirts for ZOMG LATE orders :D

Seven!! Total of $40 has already landed. This is going to be a smal buffer for shirt printing if people fail to get their payment in on time. Once it all lands, the small profit from the shirts will do the same over again. As the wheel begins turning, we get stickers ordered too!

The snowball should lead do orders of gear for full membership next year. :)
