Tired and skim read only but Re: plates if you put it on the net rightly or wrongly its fair game. We are all contributors (for lack of a better term) and if the contributor wants to block there plate let them. If contributor doesn't care then fine. My cars in a garage, battery out, with two kill switches only I know about... I'm of the opinion if some bastard wants it bad enough to around that I cant stop them by blocking my plate :D

As for shirt creator its cool so long as we dont get a bunch of herpa derps taking advantage of a way to make a "DOBC FTP" Shirt I think its brilliant!

Other than that your visions brought us this far Amy, I'm excited to see where your vision takes us next, hats off from me for the mega effort so far.

Hows the coffers looking? And am I missing some way to contribute currently? Or is it time to run some sort of fundraiser?

We're always open for contributions, just send amy a PM.

Maybe that's something to keep in mind amy, making an obvious link to becoming a paid member.

Also, I'm of the opinion that upping the membership fee would be very reasonable, since things are more quality than quantity around here... I'm sure everyone who has contributed so far wouldn't mind putting more in next time round to keep the place up and running.

^^+1 indeed!
If this place needs a cash injection, I propose a fundraiser effort consisting of Dave, Alf, and myself washing cars in man-kinis!

Or a filthy old refreshment stand at track days?

I might be able to arrange something on the fundraiser front but being so spread out it is a little hard to organize.

Where is our biggest member concentration?

I'd say Auckland and Wellington have the highest memberships, though for a while there Chch was extremely active.

Might be able to arrange a fundraiser of some sorts but I dont have stores in those regions. And I'm not sure i would voucher for stores in Auckland at all lol.

I will make a few calls over the next few days and see if I can rustle up something in Wellington. It might just require a small outlay of time by a few Wellington members and there vehicles to promote.

It would be head=assplode if anyone was able to do something along these lines, let alone something quite so epic. The DOBC coffers can always do with an injection and it would certainly allow a few upgrades here. One IPB feature that'd be GREAT would be paid memberships organised via forum software instead of me managing it...IIRC it's something we would have to buy. So extra funds would never go amiss.

Another thing I thought of - DOBC shop. At first obviously I'll just be flogging leftover apparel, and stocking up on new stuff. It would be great if anyone has 'new' stuff they wanted to flog as well, such as Undertaker's fire brackets. Obviously something completely different to the For Sale section, this would be DOBC focused items rather than one-off things you wanted to get rid of.

Might have to get my ass into gear on carbon engine covers then. Wonder if anyone in Blenheim even knows what carbon fibre is? Could maybe whip up some with the DOBC logo enbossed, too. Might do a trial in next fortnight with fibre glass.

So before we get cool software to do it for you Shale, when do we pay you directly for the latest round?

I need to sit down and stare at the DOBC accounts over the weekend, find out exactly who paid what and when. And then actually write that shit down somewhere XD I think most people are more than overdue but given how much everyone contributes on a regular basis, I don't actually care! Will just kick off a new round shortly and PM everyone that needs a renewal.

Carbon fibre engine covers will be a winner for sure, especially if you end up with a few in stock and they prove popular. For those of you that have items like that to sell I'll chat to you as a group about what your selling preferences are. I'll likely have similar preferences for the blasted shirts and hoodies.

holy cow, love all of this, I cant say to much with out bagging other sites (and it is more the behavier of some people on these sites and not the site itself). I am happy to become a paid member but wife wont let me be a member of two clubs at once, so once one has elasped am keen to pay you for a family membership, which in my mind should be at the very least the same as clubsub, this site offers just as much as and if not in my mind more.
I could be keen to head to Wellington on a sunday to help with fundrising if work load and time permits, but this time of the year sunday is all I get off.
