Howdy Folks,
Names Tim and I live in Quake City.
Got a 98 Fory i've had for nearly 5 years now
that some of yas may have seen fanging round Cheech.
It's Silver, 19s, exhaust,Momo seats,front mount etc,
just the usual mods.
Its getting pretty scruffy body wise these days as I
thrash it and people keep hitting me,lol, but i'm not too
bothered,Subys are made for it, best car to have in Chch
with the Quakes and Snow.
Its got the usual mods under the bonnet, i'm gunna upgrade
to all STI ecu and afm etc and a nice big VF turbs along
with my HDi Suby specific boost controller but that'll be
enough for me, don't want to go silly fast.
I'm losing the 19's soon once i get the factory 17's re-painted
cos I wanna make it look a little more under-cover and it was
pretty hard to get it as low as I want on the 19's with my new
adjusties without a lot of guard rub.

I'm Currently after a front right shock and a non-turbo fory
bonnet (without scoop) in either silver or black if anyone
has either knocking around.

Look forward to having a yarn with some fellow Chch suby heads
at the next cruise or trackday or whatever.
Laters.

TIMMY!!!! You finally joined! Welcome aboard dude.

Have known this Foz for a while now. Never really been a fan of them, but Tim's just ticks the right boxes. Damn nice ride indeed.
Alf and Filthy are both on here, dude, so a good catch up with brews is frequently occurring.

the scrutineering for the April track day is low level........drivers licence, wof, 100% cotton overalls, NZS rated helmet

It pays to have a tow hook at the rear in case you go into the kitty litter (I don't actually know if there is kitty litter at Ruapuna but I have toe hooks front and rear just in case)

fire extinguishers are recommended but not compulsory................some of us have em for safety anyway

you can't take passengers except for the familiarisation laps (about 4 laps at beginning of day) or unless a driver instructor is with you

at all other times you can't take passengers UNLESS you have a MSNZ full roll cage

There's a thread on here somewhere with all the trackday and booking info.......happy reading!!

Nice, fire extinguisher was 1 of the 1st things i did.
Hooks sounds like a good idea though, Foresters brakes are
notorious for being rather small and getting rather hot
rather fast so i say meeting the sand trap at some point is
a foregone conclusion.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF Foz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome bro. As you can see I have a soft spot for SF5's :D

Looking at your other thread maybe time to upgrade the shocks to STI ones? Back in the day I had V7 STi ones in my SF5 and it transformed the car. Still had the ground clearance to do soft roading too.

Enjoy your stay with us

Haha well he's already had his longer than I had mine without much serious damage by the sounds of it so he should be fine. Plus his is silver, only the Green and Black ones like to smash trees

Cheers,

Thats on the adjusties, sits a little higher than that at the mo on the standard struts.

Bit scruffier than that at the mo too, need to repair a sideskirt and paint the other 1.
