My car is a 1996 JDM Legacy GT-B twin-turbo, which I bought from member ‘hallie’ in the summer of 2010. The engine is mostly standard, but I’ve been busy with the transmission and fitted a DCCD gearbox from an Impreza STi RA.
I have some questions for you about Australian and New Zealand specification cars, but as I’m going on holiday soon these can wait until I return.
The holiday however may be of interested to you... My Legacy and I will be part of a 9 vehicle (Legacy only) convoy taking part in a 2,000+ mile tour of Western Europe.
Adam.

What did you want to know about NZ spec cars in particular? Most of the stuff we have is JDM imported 2nd hand and our Domestic models (mostly) aren't all that different bar a couple of minor details like how high the speedo goes and whether or not they have a speed cut

Including my car, on the run we have...
4x Gen2 RS
3x Gen2 GT-B
1x Gen3 B4-RSK
1x Gen4 3.0R Spec-B
Our tour has been timed to meet up with Hallie's group at the Nürburgring in Germany, so the journey back to the UK should have about 14 or 15 Legacys in it (that's a big meet for the UK)!
As for my questions about NZ cars...
Very briefly, I have written this webpage to decode the Subaru Applied Model Codes, and I will be looking to try and work out the differences between the JDM, UK and NZ codes etc.
Like I said above, I'm off on my holidays in a few days time and I'm very busy. Expect to hear from me on this subject in October when I will have time to sit down and update the code.
Thanks,
Adam.

I will try and dig out some photos for you soon. It's been a busy day, but the Legacy was collected from my local Subaru specialist today (just got home, 7pm here) and it's finally ready for my holiday. Just needs a good clean now!

Since those were taken I've colour-coded the spats, repaired the fog lights and tided up the grille. It's an on-going project like all Legacys.

You'll have to get used the the Kiwi-isms. I'm from the UK originally and I still get very confused about what theyre on about sometimes!
The Legacy is looking good, I can't remember seeing any GTs when I was about. I gotta say its very odd seeing them with the UK plates!

I'm quite sure I don't have any of those on my Legacy! Anyway, whatever they are called they were black and now they are silver.
I'm off on my holidays in the morning, I will report back with photos from the road trip when I get home in October.
