Check out my thread in the Gargage section http://www.dirtyolbc...23-the-ra-hack/ its has a few pics etc on my RSRA if you haven't already seen it. Also I would be more than happy to help out with any pics you need next time I am back in nz.
There is also a guy on here with the username of BC5RA and he really knows his stuff about the RA's and has a mint example as well.
And last but not least if the chinese whispers are correct there are apparently a few RA's sitting around in the South Island in barns and what not. But it will be a matter of finding out who knows where they are and if they are willing to let the cat out of the bag on them.

I can see a few people losing it over chopping an RS-RA up for another project, but I guess if it's f*cked it's better than it all rotting back into the earth. There are a lot of ruined ones out there, and it breaks all our hearts. Best going into something we know will see glory.

Remember the Monster Garage episode where Jesse James bought a mint, fully restored El Camino ute and converted it into a figure-8 circuit race car? (It got snotted in its first event BTW!)
During that episode, he freely admitted that there'd be folks all over the USA crying into their beer watching a valuable, collectible vehicle getting cut up, but as he said, most of the discarded parts were available for enthusiasts to purchase but more importantly, the remaining cars had just gone up in value because there was now one less of them left . . . .

The guy with the RSRA on trademe was emailing me and discussing the car and sent photos, then I made an offer and no one can get hold of him since. That car was actually owned by a farmer before he had it and it had dent in door and rocker panel , 200,000 plus ks on the odo so it was more of the type of car I was looking for because it wouldnt be the best for completete restoration.

Hey the best way to look at it is that it is going to go into a very nice extremely rare U.S.DM Turbo Legacy shell. I would use everything I could if I found the right car. It would be a worthy car for the rsra parts. I would make you guys proud I promise. It would get the EJ20 engine that I am building and I would use all the intake etc. I would go through the original engine and put it aside maybe someone else would need it for their RSRA project. Point is there would be no streetracer nothing like original car, It would be more like an RSRA with a few minor changes, one of the changes being the bodyshell

This car is definately the car I want. I have had several people try and contact the guy. His name is Abe coffin does anyone know him or what the deal is with the car? I think he might have sold it as it seems odd no one can get in touch with him. Any info regarding this legacy would be great. Thanks

I am starting to think of other options for my legacy rather than getting rsra to complete the project. I guess the thing I would like the most would be to have the gold colored intercooler and the intake manifold. My legacy also has power seatbelts that I want to remove and fit regular seatbelts. Does anyone have any really good condition seatbelts from a Legacy? I can't find any here yet, I do not like the belts we have that move on a track when the door opens, getting rid of them should remove more weight also

Any 6 speed up to 2006 will fit. You just use 4 of the bolt holes instead of 8/9/10.
