It has sharp handling than any other Subaru I have driven, I think it has an STI setup, not too sure.
One day I was driving my 1998 Subaru Legacy 250T after getting the head gasket fixed. Cost me $2500 to get done. I was driving into town and happened to drive down a different road into town. One of those back-roads that you take when you are in a hurry. And I saw this car sitting on the side of the road. So I pulled over and had a look at it. The car was in superb condition for its age and extremely tidy inside. For my first car my parents brought me a 1992 Subaru Legacy VZ Type R. That was a very good car. I could not believe how tidy it was. I called the chap that owned it and asked if I could take it for a drive. That day I drove back into town and met up with him. He was an older guy most likely about 56. He had brought the car for his wife in 2001 to drive to the shops. They had looked after the car very much and had the whole service history since they had brought it in Dunedin. Anyway I took the car for a drive and could not stop grinning. I loved every second that I drove. We took it out to the back of town around the steep and curvy roads of Queenstown. After the test drive I said how much, He Replied $2200. I said that I would think about it. After that test drive when I was driving home I could not stop grinning. I had never driven a car that has so much power and driven so tight. It stuck to the road like glue. So the next day I got a loan out, and owning already two other Subaru's ( the 250T and an old 87 Leone) I brought it. This is without getting an inspection done. I just went on a gut feeling. The next day I had to go up to Nelson for a 4 day drive. Went fine the whole way and loved every hour of it. I sold the 250T as quick as I could before it tyred to breakdown on me again. And paid off the loan and some other things but still had lots of cash to spare. This has been the best car I have every owned and is the best to drive. This model has been the most reliable one I have ever owned. Also the best model on petrol, if that makes sense. If there is only one thing I could change it would be I would has liked the manual trans. But the Auto is still a lot of fun to drive. I should point out that the car is in complete original condition. There have been no mods to the engine or the inside or the paint.
Any questions feel free to ask, and thank you Reuben for recommending to this website.
Cheers
Mitchell
