Hey guys, Im jason, found out about this forum when i got given a DOBC T shirt and decided to give it a try as im sick of the dribble on Clubsub and people always trying to correct me.

Anyways i have a BG5 gt wagon that is extensivly moddified. Only part still factory in engine bay is ABS pump. I bought her standard as 4 years ago off a 65 year old lady that was retiring and she used to travel 150km a day in it.
Posted Image
I bought it with 184,000km on it and first mod was split spoke B4 wheels and rubber. Of coarse then i also had to have the rumble so fitted a 2.5 exhaust and tints.
Posted Image
I then needed a little bit more power and fitted a chipped ecu to it which increased boost to 12/16psi and made it same power ish as a standard GTB.
I kept it as it was for a year and a half getting it up to 240,000KM with nothing more than oil changes.
I then decied to do a single turbo conversion with a STI v2 RA motor and loom i got off trademe for $1000.
Posted Image
I re loomed the whole car with the v2 loom which as ive learnt now would have been better to change plugs.

In the mean time my motor blew up with the famous big end so i did a fully forged rebuild.
Posted Image

Then the power bug caught again and i invested in yellow injectors, possumlink and fitted a v3sti top mount.
Posted Image
Got it dynoed at 184wkw which kept me happy for the time being.

About a year ago i decied that far to many people i knew were breaking the 200wkw mark so was going to do something about it.
I fitted a fmic, decapped inj, 3" exhaust and twisted the turbo. I also did a 4/2 pot brake upgrade and installed suspension to keep up with power. I dynoed again at 225wkw maxing out the poor TD05 turbo at 21psi.
Posted Image
Posted Image

I kept with this setup until 6 months ago when i spotted a TD06 on trademe and wanted to see what this vehicle could do. So i installed the TD06 with decapped top feed injectors and a g4 extreme ecu and decided to learn to tune myself and maxed the turbo out at around 270wkw based on other vehicles.
Posted Image

My mate decided that this was the perfect time to crash my car and as the paint was a bit rough i repainted the whole car a similar colour but with a blue pearl.
Posted Image

As of 3 weeks ago i sold my motor and have now got a fully forged 2.5L sleeved motor with v7sti avcs heads and tracking down a Holset HX35/40 to break the 320wkw mark and when i do some head work hopefully the 350wkw mark.

Looking forward to your views

Now THAT is how to write an intro thread!
Welcome over to DOBC! Seems we've got a thing for attracting seriously modified BGs.
Good luck with the new engine, look forward to reading how it goes :D

Was gonna say the same as Drunken. Holy crap, you've done a nice job on it. And it's nice to see some brake upgrades with those figures!! :lolz:

That sir, is a nice wagon - quintessential green BG5, looks deceptively stock, but fuckdamn...dem figures...

Welcome on board, you're just the sort we like in these parts :D

We're the beloved unloved here. CS looks down on BG's like they are inferior cars or something. Let me tell you anyone doing that here will get a thorough pistol whipping. Ditto goes for Fozzies, and Impreza's. Yup, it's a BC forum, but we're all about community, and loving our subarus despite what the masses have to say.
