EXCELLENT thread is EXCELLENT.

That's even more of a zero-to-hero than my N/A, given the handling gear you've added below the GTB surface.

Picked up from Aucks, 4 July 2008
The next day onto the STM dyno 5 July 2008

Engine bay as at July 2008

Kept it relatively stock standard during 2009
Shred Dyno, sometime in 2009

Road trip down south during winter - taken along Arthurs Pass

2010/2011 saw some significant changes:

Now the engine bay differs a lot from back in 2008, a lot more colourful anyway!

And the speedo is just about to click over the 200,000km mark. Currently at 198,XXX

Here's a engine bay before and after....I would do pictures of the car but I only had it together for three weeks and long enough for a few good photos and now it's stripped out again for repellency and removing sunroof and fitting group A rally roof vents. Will be fitting 96 Wrc 2.0 Engine in the future

Ok so I went a litlle overboard on my before and after on the Legacy but it gives you an idea of what I did to the car in the first two months of ownership. Unfortunately it did not stay together long at all!

Oh man. I gotta say, that brief 'after'-ish shot makes me think one thing. Doing it kiwi/JDM styles!

Frickin fantastic. That's the sort of love we need more of in this world. I want my BF5 to be that spotless :( Something to aspire to. Thanks for the pic porn :D

All hail the god of making-things-shiney

How the hell do you do it. Did you buy new hoses for every single hose on that engine or something?

Thanks for such a great response I appreciate the enthusiasm which I really did not expect to see as there are so many great Subarus in N.Z as well as my 22B still there:) I will continue to sharepictures and updates and please keep an eye out for an RSRA Legacy, I need a network of people to find the right car.

You mean this one? I have sold the blue and yellow March and the Lola was a car I restored when I was living in Indianapolis.
I did replace a lot of the hoses on the legacy and cleaned and painted lines that did not need replacing. Do you know Alexis in Japan Ruben?

FFFFFUUUUU...

You and your toys eh. And yeah I know Alexis, I skype with him fairly often, he ends up being my go-to guy for JDM info, since the only english BG material is all USDM which is utterly useless for me.

Also, you have come to the right place to find an RS-RA. There was actually one FS not long ago IIRC...

Yes they are awesome cars and I am very fortunate but a lot of hard work has gone Into saving for working on and collecting these cars. I am definately not here to brag about what I have or do, I hope it's not coming across that wayI am just an enthusist as much as you all are. I got a message from Alexis the ther day and he said he had been talking with you regarding RSRA Legacys, so I decided to join and get to know you guys and hopefully share some interesting photo's from the things I am involved with over here and my Subaru projects. I have been unable to contact the owner of the RSRA on trademe. I made him an offer and have not been able to get in touch with him since. It is still listed on Trademe. Anyone on here know Abe that owns it? Alexis came over to visit me at our shop earlier this year, he is a great help with Subaru info!
It's been great to get such a friendly response from everyone on this forum, I really hope I can post some interesting things and would really appreciate your help looking for the RSRA

Yes it's still in New Zealand. I would like to bring it over here but I am not sure it will ever happen. It makes the trip down there worthwhile , it's amazing to think about it. To own a 22B is a dream come true!

You must come visit us some time, bring the 22B out for a meet! :P

As for why you've had such a warm welcome, everyone here loves to see these old girls, in tip top condition, and stock as a rock - and we hate boy racers... Sure most of us have modified subies, but we all love to see them in such good condition. So seeing your subies, especially that BC, has everyone here buzzing with glee!
